-	I purposefully avoided an applet right at the top so users would have something to look at and read while the structure loads. I assume this is similar to reason each seeded page has a Jmol-generated image from the Jena library at the top and not simply a 3D Jmol applet? The structure presently used only has the alpha-carbons and phosphate-backbone of all but the tRNAs, and yet it is still 0.3 Mb in size as a gzipped file. The ribosome structure has a number of issues and traits that quickly tests the limits and abilities of most molecular visualization tools, even Jmol.
