rice importin_alpha : VirD2NLS complex
Function
[IMA1A_ORYSJ] Functions in nuclear protein import. Binds specifically and directly to substrates containing either a simple or bipartite NLS motif. Promotes docking of import substrates to the nuclear envelope.[1] [2] [VIRD2_AGRT5] Tumor formation by A.tumefaciens involves the transfer and integration of a defined segment (T-DNA) of Ti plasmid DNA into the plant nuclear genome. The virD operon encodes a site-specific endonuclease that cleaves at a unique site within both 24 bp direct repeats flanking the T-DNA.
About this Structure
4bqk is a 4 chain structure. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
