We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.

OCA, a browser/database for Protein Structure and Function

OCA Database and Browser was developed in 1996 by Jaime Prilusky of the Bioinformatics Unit, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.

Oca is the spanish word for goose, but many suspect that it was inspired by Arthur C. Clarke's science-fiction narrative 2001: A Space Odyssey.
