CASP is the biannual, worldwide competition and evaluation of protein structure prediction methods. CASP stands for Critical Assessment of protein Structure Prediction[1] CASP was founded by John Moult, Jan T. Pedersen, Richard Judson, and Krzysztof Fidelis. The first competition was in 1994[2]. Under Theoretical models there is more about CASP.

In 2020, CASP 14 documented a breakthrough in prediction of single chain protein structures by AlphaFold2.

Brief summaries of CASP results will be found in Theoretical models and AlphaFold.
