We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.

[[ATP synthase]] (ATPS) also known as V-ATPase, catalyzes the synthesis of ATP from ADP and phosphate. In mitochondria, the F1F0 ATPS contains the F0 membranal part (F1-ATPS). Its subunits are named by Greek or Roman letters. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative ATPS, ''i.e.'' the crystal structure of yeast yATPS, subunit H ([[1ho8]]).
