Policosanol, a well-defined mixture of very long chain primary alcohols that is available as a nutraceutical product, has been reported to lower blood cholesterol levels.[1] In summary, this study provides the platform for further structure-guided design hypotheses of novel drug candidates with higher affinity and selectivity.[2]
