Forkhead box proteins (FOX) are transcription factors involved in regulation of gene expression. They contain a DNA-binding motif of 80-100 amino acids having a winged-helix shape. For details on individual FOX proteins, see FOXP2 and Forkhead box protein M1. See Transcription and RNA Processing.
