CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF A HUMAN TYPE III FC GAMMA RECEPTOR IN COMPLEX WITH AN FC FRAGMENT OF IGG1 (ORTHORHOMBIC)
Template:ABSTRACT PUBMED 11297532
Function
[FCG3B_HUMAN] Receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulins gamma. Low affinity receptor. Binds complexed or aggregated IgG and also monomeric IgG. Contrary to III-A, is not capable to mediate antibody-dependent cytotoxicity and phagocytosis. May serve as a trap for immune complexes in the peripheral circulation which does not activate neutrophils.
About this Structure
1t83 is a 3 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens. This structure supersedes the now removed PDB entry 1iis. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
