Ribosomal protein S23 (RPS23 in eukaryotes/archaea) is one of the ca. 33 proteins which belong to the small 40S subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative RPS23, i.e. the crystal structure of Ribosomal protein S23 from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (1s1h).
