[ISPD_ARATH] Enzyme of the plastid non-mevalonate pathway for isoprenoid biosynthesis that catalyzes the formation of 4-diphosphocytidyl-2-C-methyl-D-erythritol from CTP and 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate (MEP).
