Function

Ribosomal protein P2 (RPLP2) is one of the 3 phosphoproteins in the large 60S subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. RPLP2 plays an important role in the elongation step of protein synthesis^[1]. RPLP2 makes a heterodimer with dimers of RPLP1.

Relevance

Antisense RPLP2 technology has potential to slow growth of cancer cells^[2].
