RETINOBLASTOMA PROTEIN
BACKGROUND
Retinoblastoma protein is a regulatory protein that prevents the cell from replicating damaged DNA. It thus keeps the cell in the G1 phase and does not allow the cell to enter the S phase with damaged DNA.
