Hexokinase Type 1
Hexokinase Type 1 is one of four Hexokinase [1] isoenzymes that participate [2]. It catalyzes the phosphorylation of glucose into glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) providing enough activation energy for glycolytic processes to start.
