Revision as of 12:09, 7 November 2011
ATP synthase (ATPS) also known as V-ATPase, catalyzes the synthesis of ATP from ADP and phosphate. In mitochondria, the F1F0 ATPS contains the F0 membranal part (F1-ATPS). Its subunits are named by Greek or Roman letters. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative ATPS, i.e. the crystal structure of yeast yATPS, subunit H (1ho8).
