Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR) is a transmembrane protein which is responsible for boosting glucose-induced insulin production. The transcription of this protein is positively controlled by glucose molecules, GIPR is expressed in higher levels when glucose is in higher concentration.
