Telethonin is also involved in signalling processes that regulate muscle development. A feed back loop is formed with MRFs (MyoD, myogenin, Myf5), Telethonin and Myostatin. MyoD possitively regulate 'Tcap' gene expression, Telethonin inhibits Myostatin by interacting with it.
