We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.

Crystal structure of the SH3 domain of human sorbin and SH3 domain-containing protein 2
Function
[SRBS2_HUMAN] Adapter protein that plays a role in the assembling of signaling complexes, being a link between ABL kinases and actin cytoskeleton. Can form complex with ABL1 and CBL, thus promoting ubiquitination and degradation of ABL1 or with AKT1 and PAK1, thus mediating AKT1-mediated activation of PAK1. Isoform 6 increases water and sodium absorption in the intestine and gall-bladder.[1][2]
About this Structure
4igz is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
