[KAPR_YEAST] Regulatory subunit of the cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), an effector of the Ras/cAMP pathway. Inhibits PKA activity in the absence of cAMP. cAMP activates PKA and promotes growth and proliferation in response to good nutrient conditions.
