Catherine graduated with a B.S. in microbiology and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi. She is currently interning with Dr. Steven Forst at UW-Milwaukee and the MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling while working part-time in the education department at the Milwaukee Public Museum. She has assisted in Dr. Gyaneshwar Prasad's laboratory at UW-Milwaukee, which specializes in rhizobial symbiosis with legumes and cereals.
