G6PD Deficiency is most prevalent in tropical Africa, the Middle East, tropical and subtropical Asia and some areas of the Mediterranean. G6PD deficiency affects all races. Specifically however, highest prevalence is among individuals with African, Asian and Mediterranean heritage.
