Crystal structure of shikimate kinase complex with shikimate and ADP 2dfn

Template:STRUCTURE 2dfn

Shikimate kinase (SK) catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of shikimate to produce shikimate 3-phosphate. It is part of the plant and bacteria pathway of synthesizing aromatic acids. SK inhibitors can be used as antimicrobial drugs.
