Function
Acyl carrier protein (ACP) is a component of the fatty acid biosynthesis cycle. ACP catalyzes the addition of a thioester to a phosphopantetheine moiety. This moiety is added post-translationally to ACP serine residue by ACP synthetase (ACPS).
