Phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase (PNMT) catalyzes the conversion of norepinephrine (noradrenaline) to epinephrine (adrenaline). This is the last step in the conversion of tyrosine to adrenaline. S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine (AdoHcy) by itself or with other ligands are inhibitors of PNMT.
