Beta-adrenergic receptor kinase

Beta adrenergic receptor kinase (BARK) is an intracellular serine/threonine kinase. BARK is activated by protein kinase A. BARK phosphorylates the β adregenic receptor (BAR) when it is occupied by the agonist thus causing its desensitization.
