Cytocrhome c 7 (CcP7) is a cytochrome c peroxidase found in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (commonly known as Baker's Yeast). Cytochrome c 7 is a mitochondrial intermembrane space protein and it is thought to keep the organism from undergoing cell death from high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide by converting this toxic compound into water [1].
