Function
Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA) acts as a DNA sliding clamp by encircling the DNA and linking it to the genome. It is a processivity factor for DNA polymerase (Dpo) δ in eukaryotic cells[1].
Relevance
PCNA is useful in the diagnosis of high-grade dysplasia[2].
