Function
Ribosomal protein L19 (RPL19) is one of the 34 proteins which belong to the of the prokaryotic ribosome or to the ca. 49 proteins in the large 60S subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. RPL19 is located at the interface between the small and large subunits[1].
Relevance
RPL19 is highly expressed in human breast tumors[2]. RPL19 is a prognostic marker for prostate cancer[3].
