This is DNA. DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. It is composed of the nucleotides cytosine, guanine, adenine, and thymine. Nucleotides form strands of DNA through bonds on the sugar-phosphate backbone. The complementary nitrogenous bases of DNA on different strands hybridize through hydrogen bonding to form the double helix structure with major and minor grooves.
