The specific function of my protein is that it helps detoxify the liver through conjugation and xenobiotic metabolisms and comes from Bacillus cereus. Our protein goes through a reaction and changes UDP glucose into galactose, by flipping the chiral center. The enzyme prevents decarboxylation by keeping the CO2 on the structure.
