The loops involved in binding nucleotide moiety are marked in red and the lid is shown in yellow. |
The tardigrade MKvar presents a classic feedback inhibition profile and is inhibited in presence of phosphorylated compounds such as farnesyl pyrophosphate (FPP) and geranyl pyrophosphate (GPP), whereas the MKbur is not. As expected MKbur is able to function at very low temperature as low as 4°C. The structures are resolved to 2 Å for MKvar and 2.2 Å for MKbur. | The tardigrade MKvar presents a classic feedback inhibition profile and is inhibited in presence of phosphorylated compounds such as farnesyl pyrophosphate (FPP) and geranyl pyrophosphate (GPP), whereas the MKbur is not.
