Crystal structure of human Mitochondrial Transcription Termination Factor 3

Function

[MTER1_HUMAN] Binds promoter DNA and regulates initiation of transcription. Required for normal mitochondrial transcription, and for normal assembly of mitochondrial respiratory complexes. Required for normal mitochondrial function (By similarity).[1]

About this Structure

3opg is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens. This structure supersedes the now removed PDB entry 3my3. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
