A neutron crystallographic analysis of a porcine 2Zn insulin at 2.0 A resolution
Template:ABSTRACT PUBMED 19770501
Function
[INS_PIG] Insulin decreases blood glucose concentration. It increases cell permeability to monosaccharides, amino acids and fatty acids. It accelerates glycolysis, the pentose phosphate cycle, and glycogen synthesis in liver.
About this Structure
3fhp is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Sus scrofa. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
