The PX domain contains a phospholipid-binding motif. SNX 1 regulates trafficking in the endosome compartment[2]. SNX 3 regulates neurite formation[3]. SNX 5 regulates retrograde trafficking of transmembrane cargo receptors[4]. SNX 7 regulates the survival of cells in embryonic liver[5]. SNX 9 has a role in endocytosis[6]. SNX 10 induces giant vacuoles in mammalian cells[7]. Relevance SNX 2 is a potential marker of hyper functioning thyroid disorders[8].
