Function
Ribosomal protein P2 (RPLP2) is one of the 3 phosphoproteins in the large 60S subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. RPLP2 plays an important role in the elongation step of protein synthesis[1]. RPLP2 makes a heterodimer with dimers of RPLP1.
Relevance
Antisense RPLP2 technology has potential to slow growth of cancer cells[2].
