Crystal Structure of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2iul

Template:STRUCTURE 2iul

Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) catalyzes the conversion of the decapeptide angiostensin I to the octapeptide angiostensin II. It participates in the body’s rennin-angiostetin system which mediates extracellular volumes. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative ACE, i.e. the crystal structure of human Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (2iul).
