Bcl-Xl is a member of the Bcl-2 family this protein is cancer related since it bind pro apoptotic proteins like BAK and BAD and inhibit their pro apoptotic action. In case Bcl-xl is over expressed a situation it can falsly inhibit a needd cell death.
