Ribosomal protein S17
From Proteopedia
Ribosomal protein S17 (RPS17) is one of the 22 proteins which belong to the of the bacterial ribosome. It binds to the 5' end of 16S RRNA and may participate in the recognition of termination codons. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative RPS17, i.e. the crystal structure of Ribosomal protein S17 from Thermus thermophilus (2zm6, chain Q).
