Crystal Structure of the synaptic tetramer of the G-Segment Invertase (Gin)

Template:ABSTRACT PUBMED 23275567

Function

[DNIV_BPMU] This protein catalyzes the inversion of a 3000-bp segment of phage DNA. The inversion results in a modification of the 3'-end of the tail fiber gene and alters the host specificity.

About this Structure

3uj3 is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Enterobacteria phage mu. This structure supersedes the now removed PDB entry 3plo. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
