Function

Phosphoglucose isomerase (PGI) catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to fructose-6-phosphate[1]. PGI is part of the glycolysis cycle. For more details see Phosphoglucoisomerase.

Increased expression of PGI enhances colorectal cancer metastasis[2].
