Function

[KCC2A_DROME] A key regulator of plasticity in synaptic physiology and behavior, alterations in its activity produce pleiotrophic effects that involve synaptic transmission and development as well as various aspects of behavior. Directly modulates eag potassium channels.^{[1] [2]} [KCNAE_DROME] Structural component of a potassium channel. Mediates the potassium permeability of membranes; potassium current is regulated by CaMKII and CASK. Has a role in growth of the perineurial glial layer of the larval peripheral nerve.^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}
