Function
Linear gramicidin synthase LgrA is a biosynthetic enzyme which synthesizes natural products for therapeutics using a modular synthetic logic where each module adds one amino acid to the growing chain.
Thus, LgrA is a non-ribosomal peptide synthetase[1].
