Telomerase (TEL) adds DNA repeats to the tail end of telomeres. It carries its own RNA. The human TEL is composed of 2 Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase (TERT), 2 Telomerase RNA (TERC) and 2 dyskerin (DKC1) molecules. For additional details see Catalytic Subunit of T. Castaneum TERT Polymerase.
