Function
[UBC8_ARATH] Accepts the ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. Mediates the selective degradation of short-lived and abnormal proteins.[1] [MUB3_ARATH] May serve as docking site to facilitate the association of other proteins to the plasma membrane.
