Function
[SAK_STAAU] Potent plasminogen activator that converts plasminogen into plasmin. It forms a 1:1 complex with plasmin, which in turn activates other plasminogen molecules.

Publication Abstract from PubMed
The three-dimensional structure of staphylokinase has been determined at 1.8 A. The puntative site of interaction with plasminogen was identified and epitopes were mapped.
