Having always had a broad scientific interest, together with over twenty years of IT experience, I'm an 'old fart' regarding open content. Maintenance of and contributions to open source software, substantial contributions to the OEIS, a dozen book transcriptions on Project Gutenberg, and recently, half a year of writing protein articles (and making 3D pictures!) for the german language Wikipedia leave me with the desire to advance a step from 2D to 3D. Were 3D possible with Wikipedia, I wouldn't have requested an account here.
