Purine Nucleosides
Observe that the adenine ring of adenosine is nearly perpendicular to the furanose ring and that a (colored green) connects adenine to ribofuranose. This shows the
anti configuration and when displayed in spacefill one can see that the
hydrogen of the 2' carbon hinders the rotation of the purine ring about the glycosidic bond.
