Rhysly Martinez was a plant genetics researcher at Bowdoin College, where she also completed her undergraduate studies (B.A.) with a concentration in biochemistry and minor in English in 2009. A year later, she obtained her M.Sc. in biotechnology and bioinformatics from the California State University, Channel Islands. At CSUCI, she was also involved in the team-based establishment of an innovative research program proposal for the treatment of sepsis.
