We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.
Im4
From Proteopedia
Im4 is an immunity protein that is produced by E. coli at the same time as Colicin E4 to protect itself from the Colicin's 16s rRNase killing activity. It is later released from this domain when the colicin binds to a cell surface receptor of a target cell.
