Cui

Cui is an immunity protein that is produced by E. coli alongside Colicin U to protect itself from the pore-forming cytotoxic activity of the Colicin. Once the complex has been released from the producing cell and binds to an outer membrane receptor on the target cell, the immunity protein is released.
