We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.
ImmE5
From Proteopedia
is an immunity protein produced by E. coli alongside Colicin E5 to protect itself from the Colicin's tRNase cytotoxic domain, and preventing cell death. This is then released when the colicin binds to a cell surface receptor of a target cell.
